LOCAL RULE SHEET

           

 

  1. All USGA and Local rules will govern play for this event.

 

  1. All play will be from the Blue tee markers.

 

  1. The ball shall be played as it lies unless relief is provided under USGA or Local rules.

 

  1. TIME OF STARTING: Rule 6-3, plus “Note”

 

  1. On hole # 1 and #3 the rock wall will be used as a boundary. Any ball coming to rest on the golf course side of the rock wall shall be considered to be in bounds and may be played.

 

  1. On hole # 10 out of bounds is defined by white stakes that run the length of the fairway on the right side. If a ball goes out of bounds players must proceed under rule # 27. Red stakes indicate the boundaries for the lateral water hazard on both ditches on the right side of the fairway. In order to proceed under the lateral water hazard rule, there must be VIRTUAL CERTAINTY that the player’s ball actually entered the hazard. Without such evidence, players must proceed under the lost ball rule # 27.

 

  1. The lateral water hazard on holes #2, # 7 and # 8 is defined by red stakes. Players may play the ball as it lies or proceed under rule # 26 for relief.

 

  1. On hole # 11, out of bounds is defined by the rock wall as well as white stakes that run the remaining length of the fairway on the right side. Any ball coming to rest on the golf course side of the rock wall or on the golf course side of the white stakes shall be considered in bounds and may be played.

 

  1. On hole # 17 proceed under the water hazard rule # 26. In order to obtain relief under rule # 26, there must be reasonable evidence that the player’s ball entered the hazard. Without such evidence the player must proceed under the lost ball rule # 27.

 

  1. Ground Under Repair – All white lined areas, newly seeded areas through the green and abnormal ground conditions including sod seams, tire runs, aeration holes, and animal diggings and associated damage. Check with other players in group before taking relief. Must take nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole. Relief for aeration holes and sod seams is for ball only.

 

  1. All cart paths, service roads and associated worn areas, paved or otherwise, shall be played as immoveable obstructions. Players are entitled to relief without penalty and may drop within one club length of their nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole under rule # 24.

 

  1. All flower beds and rock gardens shall be treated as obstructions. Please proceed under rule # 24 for relief without penalty.

 

  1. When in doubt to a procedure, play a second ball in accordance with Rule 3-3 and BE CERTAIN to inform the Committee at the completion of the round, before posting score. Failure to report playing of a second ball will result in disqualification.

 

  1. The  portable rest room facilities on hole #14 and the pump house on hole #17 shall be played as immovable obstructions. Line of sight to the hole will be allowed from these obstructions only.

 

  1. EMBEDDED BALL THROUGH THE GREEN: Local rule as described in Appendix I is in effect.

 

  1. DISTANCE-MEASURING DEVICES: A player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. A device that gauge or measure other conditions (wind or gradient, etc.) is not permitted, and would be subject to disqualification under Rule 14-3
